Welcome to the North East Postgraduate (NEPG) Conference, one of the UK's largest student-led postgraduate conferences celebrating biomedical, health and bioscience research. Taking place on 15 December 2026 at the Frederick Douglass Centre in Newcastle, this year's conference marks the 20th anniversary of NEPG.

For two decades, NEPG has brought together postgraduate students, early career researchers, academics and industry from across the North-East to celebrate the breadth of research taking place across the biosciences. The conference showcases research spanning microbiology, biochemistry, translational science, computational biology, clinical and case study-based research through lectures, careers sessions, oral presentations, poster sessions and networking opportunities.
